Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Warrantr AI app, website, and related services ("Warrantr AI", "Service", "we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using Warrantr AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Who We Are

Warrantr AI is operated by Warrantr AI, established in Finland.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you may have additional mandatory rights under your local consumer law; these Terms do not limit those rights.

3. Description of Service

Warrantr AI is a receipt and warranty management service. The app allows you to:

  • Scan paper receipts with your camera
  • Import receipts from your photo library and PDFs from Files
  • Sync your email to automatically pull online purchase receipts
  • Use AI to extract receipt details such as purchase date, payment method, invoice number, currency, tax, and totals
  • Use AI to extract warranty and return policy information, including duration, expiration dates, explanations, and exclusions
  • View store contact information such as website and support email (where available)
  • Create custom categories to organize receipts
  • Receive notifications when warranties or return policies are about to expire

We may update, improve, or change parts of the Service over time. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without prior notice.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may need to create an account.

By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your login details secure and confidential
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have parental or guardian consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion if we believe these Terms have been violated.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Warrantr AI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Upload or sync content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third‑party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service except as explicitly permitted
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized by us

We may monitor use of the Service to ensure compliance with these Terms.

6. User Content (Receipts, Emails, Documents)

By using Warrantr AI, you may upload, sync, or otherwise provide receipts, emails, PDFs, images, and other materials ("User Content").

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • You grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, process, analyze, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Service to you (for example, extracting receipt details and showing them back to you).
  • You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload or sync the User Content and to grant us this license.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third‑party content (such as store receipts) complies with applicable laws and any agreements you have with those third parties.

We may remove or restrict access to any User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Warrantr AI are available only through a paid subscription ("Premium" or similar).

  • Subscriptions and in‑app purchases on iOS are billed by Apple via your Apple ID account.
  • The price, billing period (e.g., monthly, yearly), and any free trial details will be shown in the app before you complete your purchase.

Auto‑renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period.

Managing and cancelling

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID (or Google Play) account settings.
  • Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds

Payments and refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google and are subject to their policies. We do not process or control these payments and generally cannot offer refunds directly for those purchases.

We may change subscription prices in the future. If we do, we will inform you as required by the applicable store; you can then choose to cancel before the new price takes effect.

8. Third‑Party Services

Warrantr AI integrates third‑party services such as:

  • Email and calendar providers (e.g., via Nylas)
  • Cloud hosting, databases, and analytics (e.g., Firebase)
  • AI models and processing (e.g., OpenAI)

These providers process certain data on our behalf in order to operate the Service. Your use of those integrations is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third‑party services and websites linked from the app. Accessing any third‑party services is at your own risk.

9. Privacy

Your use of Warrantr AI is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding User Content) are owned by Warrantr AI and/or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code
  • Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free
  • Any information or results (including AI‑generated outputs) will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
  • Defects will be corrected

You use the Service at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Warrantr AI and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or, if you use only the free version, €0).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the above limitations shall apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Warrantr AI, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third‑party rights
  • Your User Content

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that:

  • You have violated these Terms
  • Your use poses a risk to other users or to the Service
  • We are required to do so by law

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app or by contacting us.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law rules.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you may also be entitled to bring claims in your home country and to rely on mandatory provisions of your local consumer protection law.

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally. If we cannot resolve a dispute, it will be submitted to the competent courts of Finland, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring the dispute before the courts of your home country.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or to legal requirements.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, in the app, on our website, or by email) and update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
